Calendar Help Page
(a viewer's guide)

About the calendar:

This calendar of progressive events focuses on SE Pennsylvania, also spilling over into nearby areas, or to more distant destinations for demonstrations and rallies.

To view all events in one County:

Click on Calendar Search at the top left of the screen, then on the drop-down menu choose the County you want to view.

Narrowing down events:

After your County is on the screen, to see specific events in that County, you can drill down into the County's sub-categories.  For example, the Category:  "Chester County" has a sub-category called:  "Chester County Peace Movement"; to view only events for the Chester County Peace Movement, go to the Category link in the Event line just under the calendar, and click on the drop-down menu (blue triangle) to select a sub-category.  Then click the View button.

 Searching  by Key Words:

To find events that contain a given word, enter a keyword, such as “vigil” or “peace,” in the Search field at the lower right side of the calendar.

Color Coding:

Events are color-coded by category (typically county or state).   There are also general or non-political categories represented in Black.   All events are grouped into categories and sub-categories…. As an example, there is a category for Chester County (in red).  Every sub-category in Chester County is also shown in red.  For example, the Chester County Peace Movement is a sub-category of Chester County, and their events will also appear in Red.

For a list of Event Categories, Counties and their color codes, click on the Legend link just below the calendar.

Event Details:

To view details on a specific event, click on that event.  This will bring up information such as location, date and time.

Viewing Events by Week:

To see a week’s schedule in one screen, click on the little grid in the upper right corner of each Sunday’s box, for events from that Sunday through the following Saturday.  You can then print it out, edit, or paste it in email.  Longer entries will be truncated; readers should be referred to the online calendar for complete info.

Similarly, “Coming Events” (at the bottom) gives you all upcoming events; the days are less prominently indicated, but days without events are omitted.
